Properties for rent

We provide an extensive register of both Furnished and Unfurnished properties covering the North East.
From flats on the Quayside to Detached Country cottages there is a wide and varied range of available properties.
If you want to rent on a short term basis or as a more permanent move we offer tenancies from 6 months onwards although in some cases shorter terms may be available.

Important Information -

 Professional Lettings

You will be required to pay £200.00 reservation fee (This will be deducted from your first month's rent).

Upon taking up a rented property, JCR will require the following: depending upon the landlord's preference, you will be required to complete a monthly standing order form. This must commence one month after the first date of your tenancy agreement. Please do not process this yourself as we need to take a copy. We will forward it to the relevant bank on your behalf. Alternatively you may be required to pay by cash or cheque.

All tenants must complete an Application Form and a guarantor form

Please note a reference will be required and or guarantor and the landlord may also request a credit check before the commencement of your tenancy agreement.

You will also be required to pay a damage deposit (equivalent to one month's rent) plus one month's rent prior to the start date of your tenancy agreement. If you are paying by cheque this will required 10 DAYS BEFORE.

JCR administration fee is half of one month's rent.

All above payments must be cleared through our bank prior to the tenancy commencement date.
It is each tenant's responsibility to ensure that the above payments and references and forms are received in full and their contract fully signed before your tenancy agreement commences. If all parties have not done so, the tenant will be not be permitted to move in.

Student Lettings
We act for a large number of landlords offering multi-occupancy student accommodation, mainly around the city and suburbs.
Properties are generally located in areas such as Heaton, Jesmond, Gosforth and Sandyford, which enjoy an excellent night life with a large number of bars and restaurants.

We require a the equivelant to £75 per person (unless you are taking a professional property in which case half a months rent) as a fee and a completed Application Form per person to reserve a property (non-refundable).

To secure the letting of a property, JCR will require the following within two weeks:
A Guarantor form to be completed in full by a parent or guardian of each applicant.
Standing Order to be completed, payments for the year to be made in 10 instalments. This must be processed by JCR, as we require a copy for our records. We will then forward it to your bank on your behalf.
You will also be required to pay a Damage Deposit payable to JCR (equivalent to one month's rent) payable immediately, this will be then lodged with the DPS or the landlords chosen scheme.

For a Property with 2 or more students, a lead person must be appointed and they will be responsible for all payments and forms to be returned to us within a reasonable time.
